Call Hold allows you to place any incoming call on hold. To place a current caller on hold: Press and QUICKLY release the switch hook (don’t hold the switch hook for more than a second or you’ll hang up on the caller). Listen for three short beeps followed by a steady tone. Press *52Listen for the confirmation tone followed by the dial tone. The call is now on hold. DO NOT HANG UP!

Note: Do not hang up the receiver when placing a call on hold or the on-hold party will call you back and your phone will ring. To resume your conversation with the call on hold: Hang up the phone or press and hold its switch hook. When your phone rings, lift the receiver or release the switch hook to reconnect to the caller on hold.

Tip: Use this feature when setting up a three-way conference call.
